QUILTING CLASSES Taught by our Quilt Specialist, Mary Kochevar
FREE MOTION Quilt Sampler Two-week session Monday June 21 and 28. 6-8.
This is the How To of machine quilting. Learn all about Stippling, Meandering, and Artistic Free motion quilting on any straight stitch sewing machine. Make a series of samples and learn a multitude of techniques. You will see special accessories to make the task easier and more enjoyable.
FEE $45. Complete supply list available when you register.
Monday July 19 and 26, 6 to 8, Mini Art Quilt.
There is no pattern for this class. Bring any type of pictures (images) that are of interest to you. Examples could include a greeting card, newspaper clipping, or a picture from a book or magazine. These could include scenic photos. Bring more than one for inspiration. Mary will have a variety of items you may use to get ideas from. This little project works best with hand dyed fabrics and batiks. If you have small pieces, bring them along. If you do not have these types of fabric, make sure you bring pre-washed, small pieces of stuff you really love. Bring fabrics that are bright and colorful and that really speak to you. Even the smallest scrap can be used in this project. See our sample on display!

Sewing Basics Classes
NEW Classes for Kids!
We have been holding classes for kids and they are having a blast. If you missed the introductory class this is your chance to get started. We are holding a Level One class for kids who want to learn to sew. Plus, a Level Two class for those who have already taken the basic machine operation class or for those who have had SOME sewing experience. Read all about them below.
You will not need supplies for the LEVEL ONE session. Kids will learn how to run a sewing machine, follow instructions, and use sewing tools in this class.

START TO SEW KIDS CLASS
2-week session Wednesday June 23 & 30 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.
Students will learn to drive a sewing machine the RIGHT way. They will gain experience sewing on paper and then start on a great pillow project. They can even add a monogram on their personalized pillow. Fabric colors and choices will vary but kids will take home a pretty finished project!

START TO SEW KIDS CLASS Level Two Drawstring Tote
One-week session Wednesday July 14th 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
In this class kids will make a great summer bag for toting all their stuff! Supplies are necessary for this class so you will receive a supply list when you sign up.
